Al Gore: Anti-Scientist
American Thinker: The slick trick behind global frauding
What amazes me most is that it is the same person who follows the prophet of climate with such zeal that condemns Christians for having faith in the Creator of weather and climates. The hypocrisy is staggering. They are also the same who will call conservatives “fascists”, yet are willing and active participants in one of the largest mobilizations of a fascist movement since pre-WWII. Opposition and dissent are treated with scorn and ridicule …for now, but as American Thinker points out, history shows it always devolves into brutal oppression:
In Al Gore’s America, any “global warming denier” is guilty until proven innocent. He or she must have been bought off by Big Oil. Skeptics, no matter how well-qualified, must prove the negative about really silly alarmist hogwash. And whenever some prediction is falsified, the warm mongers have an explanation: it’s just a temporary glitch in the data. Oh, yes, we were wrong about 1998, but just wait till 2050! The excuses are endless.
We can only hope that the distaste that Americans of all stripes have for hypocrisy will prevail against the ever-blowing winds of power-hungry politicians who seek to solidify the mist that is their life and legacy.

wcbstv.com - Senator Hillary Clinton Hints At Sharing Presidential Ticket With Senator Barack Obama
If only there were more people interested in a qualified candidate with a track record instead of an historic opportunity for an African American or a woman to be President of the United States. I mean, shouldn’t it be more about who can best execute the office rather than skin tone or the ability to place ovaries behind the desk at the Oval Office?
Okay - everybody sing the new Democrat theme song to the tune of “Ebony and Ivory”…
Mel-a-nin and Es-tro-gen - to the White House one of them, won’t you send…?
I guess it’s not all peace and harmony transcending politics at the moment. Here is a brief replay of the March 4th primaries…

What’s Wrong with this Picture?
The fashion industry must be flat out of ideas. When you have to revert to Carol Burnett sketch comedy skits as the inspiration for new styles, or to attempt to strike a new fashion note, something is seriously wrong.

Chertoff Worries About ‘Earth-Shattering’ Events
Chertoff Worries About ‘Earth-Shattering’ Events
The attacks on the World Trade Center happened in 2001. It is now 2008. In American political terms, that is practically a multi-generational gap. In Islamic political terms it is the blinking of an eye. Americans operate on MTV-inspired cycles, which is to say that our market-driven culture moves from one fad, craze, or movement to another and then discard it like this morning’s paper coffee cup.
We can’t afford to think - and consequently behave as if that were the case with those who wish to conquer and enslave us. They are planning, praying, and hoping to gain the superiority they believe already belongs to them. Living in fear is not the answer. Rather being prepared spiritually, physically, and mentally on a personal and national level will be our best defense. Getting educated from a variety of sources, not just from those in the group you are comfortable with is a good place to start. You cannot fight an enemy you cannot see or refuse to acknowledge. Looking beyond political rhetoric is another step to take as every political group looks mostly to it’s own private issues and will say, or ignore anything for it’s own benefit - at the peril of its own members.
And if you are scoffing at this moment that Chertoff, or that this article sounds alarmist in nature, recall this 1979 advertisement for Pakistan Air. Creepy to be sure, but purely coincidental? Could it be that as far as 22 years prior to the September 11th attack that such a plan was at least being discussed or hoped for among certain circles? If there is to be an “earth shattering” attack, it will take more than physical strength to survive. It will take greater planning, greater hope, and greater prayer than those who seek peace only through the utter elimination of its enemies.

Bad, Bad Blogger!
That’s me chastising myself for not writing in so long. I guess I have to chalk it up to all that living I am doing. Ah, but I am not dead - AnAmericanFirst is still here!
But I am at a crossroads. I had been in favor of the Conservative Stylings of one Fred Thompson. Now he’s sitting in an easy chair with an Old Navy t-shirt and rumpled black socks with a bag of chips watching a re-run of Scrubs. Now what? I’d join him (I like Scrubs) but I don’t know where he lives.
So, who do I favor now? Who represents me best? I just don’t know. So, I suppose the remainder of the year until election day will bear that out. Are you all ready for some fun, kids? I sure am!
I did see a good article on Governor R0mney to day at American Thinker. Check it out.
Questionable Assumption on Internet Security
Dancing Spychief Wants to Tap Into Cyberspace
Siobhan Gorman reports on the U.S. spychief.
Spychief Mike McConnell is drafting a plan to protect America’s cyberspace that will raise privacy issues and make the current debate over surveillance law look like “a walk in the park,” McConnell tells The New Yorker in the issue set to hit newsstands Monday. “This is going to be a goat rope on the Hill. My prediction is that we’re going to screw around with this until something horrendous happens.”
At issue, McConnell acknowledges, is that in order to accomplish his plan, the government must have the ability to read all the information crossing the Internet in the United States in order to protect it from abuse. Congressional aides tell The Journal that they, too, are also anticipating a fight over civil liberties that will rival the battles over the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
I have to question that assumption because not only would an analysis of all of that data be rather difficult to sift through, even for super computers, coupled with the fact that people can use encryption if they choose, there is also the question in my mind of whether or not that would be necessary. I’ve often thought that what the Internet is lacking, in terms of security, is not the ability for the government to intercept and analyze every bit of data, but instead a realistic authentication system that would force people to Logon to the Internet as a specific user. If the Internet had that feature then everything would be traceable to individuals, and this alone would prohibit most forms of Internet abuse, including spam and porn. In regards to terrorism, it would also be rather difficult for the enemy to use the Internet anonymously as they do now were such a system put in place. If I had to choose between the two alternatives, total surveillance or total authentication, I’d go with the authentication on the grounds that it would be easier to implement, provide reasonably good security for most purposes, and a general deterrence for most forms of abuse. With such an authentication in place, it might also be not too difficult to spot intruders… and it is much easier to imagine being able to devise an intruder detection system than a total data analysis system.
The problem with the total data analysis system is that it would have to depend on computer algorithms to function, and those, I’m afraid, would be too easy to circumvent, and far to prone to error to be of any practical use - and instead would simply serve to create yet another absurdly top heavy effort on top of many others that have been conducted in the name of the War on Terror (so called).
That question aside, my general feeling about this proposal is that it utterly infringes on the right to privacy that people have grown to expect from Internet communications, rightly or wrongly, and also introduces a mechanism by which a Big Brother type government would be all too easy to establish. While the present administration might not go that far, what is to deter future administrations from doing so? That is my concern with such a system.
If only it were so…
New York Sun Opinion: The Fifth Estate, by JEFFREY KUHNER, December 12, 2007
A growing problem in America is the polarization of the press — as is especially evident in the current election campaign.
The press has long held a cherished role in our democracy: ideally, journalists are the ultimate truth tellers who hold politicians accountable. The press, in conjunction with the separate branches of the government and the judiciary, acts as yet another vital check and balance on political power.
Journalists have an invaluable calling: to stand above the political fray in order to protect the interests of the people; to serve as the bold and courageous whistleblowers of corruption and deceit.
There is an increasing tendency, however, among news people to forsake this noble role as the “Fourth Estate,” or the guardians of public virtue. Instead they become wings of a specific party or political campaign. Thus, the press is becoming less of a watchdog for politics and more of a direct political partisan.
Mr. Kuhner goes on very convincingly about the nature and consequences of this abuse. He then makes an appeal that Journalists should from now on report only the truth, and nothing but the truth, for the sake of the Republic. A wonderful sentiment. I totally agree. However…
My comment on the Opinion:
I don’t think this is going to happen in our lifetimes. It should though. It’s just that once the universities and mass media slipped down the slippery slope there’s no real turning back. People self-justify all the time, and reporters are no different. Their internal theory is “well
someone has to let the public know the “real truth”… and that’s gotta be me.” They all feel as though the deck is stacked against them and their doing something heroic by slipping in inuendo that “proves” the thing they’ve decided “should be obvious to everyone, but somehow isn’t.” And so they slash away at the integrity of the press on a daily basis. Only those who truly hate the West can applaud their grim lack of self discipline and sense of honor. But that’s the way they’ve been educated, and they honestly believe that what they’re doing is fair, just and proper. And for those among them who actually don’t, but are really just partisan hacks, of which there are undoubtedly a certain percent, it’s a real pity we must endure such people at all. But that’s life. Check out the history of the New Jersey Gazette to discover when this trend got started in this country and by whom. You’ll be surprised.
But wait! The Press to the Rescue?!
Article: CNN: Corrupt News Network
A self-serving agenda was set for the Republican presidential debates.
December 1, 2007
THE United States is at war in the Middle East and Central Asia, the economy is writhing like a snake with a broken back, oil prices are relentlessly climbing toward $100 a barrel and an increasing number of Americans just can’t afford to be sick with anything that won’t be treated with aspirin and bed rest.
So, when CNN brought the Republican presidential candidates together this week for what is loosely termed a “debate,” what did the country get but a discussion of immigration, Biblical inerrancy and the propriety of flying the Confederate flag?
In fact, this most recent debacle masquerading as a presidential debate raises serious questions about whether CNN is ethically or professionally suitable to play the political role the Democratic and Republican parties recently have conceded it.
Selecting a president is, more than ever, a life and death business, and a news organization that consciously injects itself into the process, as CNN did by hosting Wednesday’s debate, incurs a special responsibility to conduct itself in a dispassionate and, most of all, disinterested fashion. When one considers CNN’s performance, however, the adjectives that leap to mind are corrupt and incompetent.
What is this? I almost can not believe my eyes! Is this the Liberal Media actually exposing the corruption of the Liberal Media? What’s going on here? I don’t get it!? Well, maybe it’s not what it seems. Or maybe we’ve turned a corner.
Lets hope it’s that we’ve turned a corner. And lets hope that the Liberals (I am starting to hate that term because it is no longer descriptive - we’re talking about the Socialists, as in the National Socialist Party of Germany 1936, in their disguise as concerned, warm hearted, multi-culturally sensative nice guys - bleh!).
Corruption is a strong word. But consider these facts: The gimmick behind Wednesday’s debate was that the questions would be selected from those that ordinary Americans submitted to the video sharing Internet website YouTube, which is owned by Google. According to CNN, its staff culled through 5,000 submissions to select the handful that were put to the candidates. That process essentially puts the lie to the vox populi aura the association with YouTube was meant to create. When producers exercise that level of selectivity, the questions — whoever initially formulated and recorded them — actually are theirs.
Yeah! No kidding. That’s obvious. The problem: When the Liberals hear this, as long as it’s THEIR Candidates who are benefiting they turn a snide eye toward the whole concept and pooh-pooh the entire thing as “the vast right wing conspiracy” which is supposedly making this up. They’ve been doing that so long on so many topics that it’s become simply a waste of time to discuss anything with them at all. However, when the LA Times comes out and reports this - unless it’s just a flash in the pan, … who knows? Maybe they’ll start to listen.
… The middle part of the article is worth reading too.
However here’s the capper:
In any event, CNN has failed in its responsibilities to the political process and it’s time for the leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties to take the network out of our electoral affairs.
The only problem I have with this is that its not nearly strong enough. Not strong enough to stop them. One article, with a mild call to take CNN out of our electoral affairs will never work and will quickly drop back out of sight as it sinks into the fathomless depths. No, what would work, but will not be done it is obvious, is for CNN to be sued for everything it’s got on behalf of the American people. This kind of propagandizing by CNN is lethal to our Nation. And the specific people responsible for these decisions should be made to pay the price. That would stop them. And it might deter others who have similar agendas and modes of operation. Furthermore - to fail to do so will not only allow CNN to continue unphased whatsoever, but also encourage other networks to do exactly the same. And this, dear friends, will quickly tear this Civilization apart at the seams. Believe it.

When the Press is also the Enemy
The Liberal Media, really, in my opinion, should be held responsible for fanning the flames of Muslim Violence, among other crimes against humanity. The fact is that their rhetoric, whether the perpetrators admit it or not, not only coddles the enemy and gives them a sense of entitlement, but actively encourages the violence excusing it - every - single - time. The headlines don’t read, as they should, “Insane Muslim Fanatics Kill Innocent Victims, Again!” No, instead, the Liberals always resport it as “Nameless Innocent Youths Respond to Brutal Society”. Excuse me? What the devil are they talking about?! Here’s a case in point, among the many:
France stunned by rioters’ savagery
First, notice that the “rioters” are nameless in terms of identity. Typically they are portrayed as bunch of socially deprived “youths”, once again excusing their homicidal behavior. Of course we always associate youth with innocence, which is why they use that term. But now on to the text of the article:
IN retrospect, it was not a good idea to have left his pistol at home. Called to the scene of a traffic accident in the Paris suburbs last Sunday, Jean-François Illy, a regional police chief, came face to face with a mob of immigrant youths armed with baseball bats, iron bars and shotguns.
Ok there we go. It’s the Youths, again. What this paragraph is insinuating is that the incident is due to the police chief’s failure, and it is reported with that casual nonchalance usually applied to a simple human interest story. Nice going, Liberal Medial “reporter”. This is propaganda designed to make us, to whatever degree possible, sympathetic to the “immigrant youths” (not Muslim Fanatics).
What happened next has sickened the nation. As Illy tried to reassure the gang that there would be an investigation into the deaths of two teenagers whose motorbike had just collided with a police car, he heard a voice shouting: “Somebody must pay for this. Some pigs must die tonight!”
The “reporter” fails to investigate where this youthful idea came from. Firebrand Imam’s in the background couldn’t possibly have anything to do with this, could they? Nooo… that’s IMPOSSIBLE (in the tiny-brained world of the Liberal Reporter)!
The 43-year-old commissaire realised it was time to leave, but that was not possible: they set his car ablaze. He stood as the mob closed in on him, parrying the first few baseball bat blows with his arms. An iron bar in the face knocked him down.
“I tried to roll myself into a ball on the ground,” said Illy from his hospital bed. He was breathing with difficulty because several of his ribs had been broken and one had punctured his lung.
His bruised and bloodied face signalled a worrying new level of barbarity in the mainly Muslim banlieues, where organised gangs of rioters used guns against police in a two-day rampage of looting and burning last week.
Not far from where Illy was lying was a policeman who lost his right eye after being hit by pellets from a shotgun. Another policeman displayed a hole the size of a 10p coin in his shoulder where a bullet had passed through his body armour.
Finally, a mention of “mainly Muslim banlieues (neighborhoods)”. But again, this is a deflection. The implication we’re supposed to come away with from the phraseology is “Well, of course they’re not ALL Muslims, after all.” Brilliant!
Altogether 130 policemen were injured, dozens by shotgun pellets and shells packed with nails that were fired from a homemade bazooka. It prompted talk of urban “guerrilla warfare” being waged on French streets against the forces of law and order.
Prompted talk? Prompted talk, eh? That’s hysterical! It’s a war, folks, plain and simple. Talk is no longer required.
By the end of the week an extraordinarily heavy police presence in Villiers-le-Bel, where most of the rioting took place, appeared to have halted the violence: on top of public transport strikes and student protests against his reform plans, Nicolas Sarkozy, the French president, could not afford a repeat of 2005, when a similar incident involving the deaths of two youths provoked the worst French urban unrest in four decades.
A heavy police presense, yes, but any arrests? No. So what this means in military terms is they let the guerilla army fade back into the woodwork. Good Job, men. But it’s not the fault of the Police, I’m pretty sure. It’s the politicians - the LIBERAL Politicians who refuse to allow anyone to do anything that might actually put a punctuation mark behind the word STOP! No, that might hurt the youth’s feelings or something. Outrageous.
Things were so tense in the suburbs, however, that the riots could easily erupt again with the prospect of deaths on either side setting off a much greater explosion and, conceivably, the deployment of the army to keep peace.
No kidding. As soon as the Guerilla army rearms and rests up they’ll be ready to launch the next wave of violence. Now lets do some math. How many police men are there? If 130 are wounded in this short a time, with limited riots, how long would it be before all of them are out of commission - or just refuse to put on the uniform because - well, hell, they can’t defend themselves because that’s not allowed. If I were a police officer in this situation I’d have to seriously ask, why should I sacrifice my life in order to placate a Political Class that can’t and won’t defend the people? I’d hang it up, probably. Or at least most would. And guess what? That’s most likely part of the Muslim Imamic Assault Brigades plan. That’s why the timing is spread out. It gives the poor slobs on the line time to really think things over, and it gives the Politicians time to pretend that the situation isn’t so bad after all. Lies. The situation is already Severe.
“Given the weapons being used, it was lucky that nobody was killed,” said a policeman. Nearby were the charred remains of the local constabulary. The nursery school was burnt down. So was the library.
Danger. Danger. Danger. They’re burning down the infrastructure. One piece at a time. Takes one day to burn a school, police department and a hospital. Now ask, how long does it take to build them, and at what cost? Now ask, what have the Imam’s been preaching lately in the local Mosques? Hmmm…. ?
Rioting two years ago was widely regarded as a protest against poor housing, racial discrimination and unemployment of up to 40% in the grim housing estates surrounding most big French cities.
Ok - here we go with the EXCUSES from the Liberal Media! This is exactly what I’m talking about. Think about it. If you were the Muslim Fanatic bent on the destruction, rape and pillage of the West, wouldn’t this just make you laugh out loud?! Of course it would! Because it’s ludicrous!
But “Sarko” dismissed suggestions that nothing had been done to improve the situation, referring to the “Marshall plan” for the banlieues being drawn up by Fadela Amara, his urban development minister.
At the same time he argued that, far from reflecting difficult living conditions, the violence was a result of the “thugocracy” of the suburbs, where drug-trafficking criminals held sway.
“We shouldn’t try to excuse the inexcusable,” said the president in a television address to an anxious nation on Thursday, ridiculing the left’s vision of rioters as “victims of social injustice”. He pledged that those who fired at police would be tracked down, one by one, and tried on charges of attempted murder.
Thank God there’s at least one French man with the nads to say what must be said. But you think the Liberals are listenning? Hah. I doubt that very seriously. My guess: They will turn around and blame Sarkozy, exactly the way the Liberals in the USA turn around and blame everything, no matter how absurd the accusation, on the President with the “BushChimpHitler” insanity. It is standard fare for the Liberals. Since the Establishment is Always Evil, it follows that the President must be blamed for everything. This is standard Liberalism in action. Even when the Muslim Fanatics are destroying the country. No problem - ignore that and blame the President. How much you want to bet that Sarkozy gets the blame? Lets find out:
Lawlessness in the suburbs is an awkward issue for Sarkozy because he had promised to deal with it as interior minister, when he introduced “zero tolerance” policing, only to be accused of aggravating the problem by referring to trouble-makers as “thugs” and “scum”. Despite some successes, many of the suburban ghettoes remain a law unto their own and, like parts of New York in the bad old days, policemen do not like to set foot there.
Well, there you have it. Sarkozy gets the blame. That was fast.
“It felt like they were out to kill us,” said one of the officers in Villiers-le-Bel last week. “We knew that there were weapons in the suburbs, but they have never been turned against us like that. The kids were shooting at us at close range, loading and reloading their weapons. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Yeah buddy. It’s called Warfare. You’ve seen it now. Get used to it.
Sarkozy has ordered a full judicial inquiry into the teenagers’ deaths, even though all the evidence seems to support the police version that the boys were thrown from their unlicensed motorcycle when it accidentally collided with a patrol car. Friends and relatives of the victims dismiss the official account of the incident as fantasy.
As for Illy, he says he is not feeling vengeful but has identified one of his attackers from police photographs. He is certain to be able to pinpoint the rest. “Fortunately,” he said, “I’ve got a very good memory.”
Wrong, wrong, wrong answer! You can not stop this by arresting one or two of these “Youths”. It just will not work like that. You need to defend your country!

*sigh* Is it really useless?
Evil is as Evil Does, You Know
In Muslim Sudan, a Woman Teacher, 54, Facing 40 lashes for ‘Islam slur’
Gillian Gibbons, a 54-year-old teacher, was arrested on Sunday after complaints that she had insulted Islam’s Prophet by allowing the bear to be named Mohammad.
She is facing a third night in jail without being formally charged.
The boy said: “The teacher asked me what I wanted to call the teddy. I said Mohammad. I named it after my name.”
Described as “timid and polite,” Ms Gibbons - facing 40 lashes for the ‘offence’ - had told friends how she was loving her life in the country.
The teacher, from Liverpool, let her class of seven-year-olds choose the teddy’s name as part of a project at Unity High School.
She was said to be “deeply distressed” in a police cell last night after learning she faces the barbaric lashing under the Muslim state’s strict sharia law.
These are evil, barbaric people who want nothing more than to force their savage Sharia Law on the Entire WORLD! Meanwhile, the Liberals in the West, so concerned about not “hurting anyone’s feelings”, are forcing a Lemming-Drive toward “Multi-Culturalism” (a Self-Hate code name for Death-To-Our-Own-Culture), and in the process is making every possible move to allow the barbarians to destroy us.

FOXNews.com - Saudis Release 1,500 Al Qaeda on Promise to Be Good
Is there any wonder whether the Saudi’s can be trusted or not?
The ideology of takfir is prevalent in both fundamentalist interpretations of Sunni and Shiite Islam, and it holds that there are separate rules that allow Muslims to kill, lie to, and steal from nonbelievers.
Hmm. Takfir. Sounds like a Vulcan term.
So, evidently, these 1500 have been “reformed”. To precisely what is not clear. Evidently it is away from takfir. But then again, if the “reformers” themselves subscribe to takfir, then all bets are off. Unfortunately, only once all bets truly are off can relations with the Saudi’s be assured. However, the stakes involve oil, and so, for now Americans are just a bunch of gamblers in a Muslim-run casino where takfir is the rule of the game. When push comes to shove, let’s just hope Americans can recall their heritage of the Old West…
Youthful Outpouring of Joy in Paris
64 officers injured in Paris riots: Police
PARIS: French police on Tuesday said its 64 officers were injured in the second night of clashes with youths in and around the flashpoint Paris suburb of Villiers-le-Bel, adding that five of them were in critical condition.
The injuries followed rioting in Villiers-le-Bel and the nearby towns of Sarcelles and Garges-les-Gonesses, a police source said.
Violence erupted in Villiers-le-Bel on Sunday after two teenagers died when their motorbike crashed into a police car. The accident sparked six hours of clashes.

Wow. France is hosed. But what makes it so very much worse is this hideous reporting! Why can’t the Liberal Mass Media just admit that its MUSLIMS doing this? Why?!
Gazing at the abyss
Saudi minister warns of dollar collapse
In an embarrassing blunder at the meeting in Riyadh, ministers’ microphones were not cut off during a key closed meeting, and Prince Al-Faisal was heard saying: “My feeling is that the mere mention that the Opec countries are studying the issue of the dollar is itself going to have an impact that endangers the interests of the countries. “There will be journalists who will seize on this point and we don’t want the dollar to collapse instead of doing something good for Opec.”
Was this really an embarrassing blunder? Or a calculated stab between the ribs? Hmmm… hard to say? I don’t think so. That statement is too complete and too damaging to have been an accident. What if OPEC *is* the weapon the Arabs have crafted to destroy the West? It would be, indeed, sweet revenge for them. They can not defeat us militarily, but as Osama said, “Destroy them financially”. The only question is - will it work? Or in the end will it really simply destroy the Arabs, who in fact, produce nothing of interest to the world, except oil, and terror?
Let’s compare…
The West invents or produces: Electricity, Cars, Computers, Software, Television, Nano-Technology, Alternative Energies, … but lets look at what Wikipedia (another Western Invention) has to say…
It was the West that first developed steam power and adapted its use into factories, and for the generation of electrical power. The Otto and the Diesel internal combustion engines are products whose genesis and early development were in the West. Nuclear power stations are derived from the first atomic pile in Chicago (1942). The electrical dynamo, transformer, electric motor, and electric light, and indeed most of the familiar electrical appliances, were inventions of the West.
Communication devices and systems including the telegraph, the telephone, radio, television, communication and navigation satellites, mobile phone, and the Internet were all invented by Westerners. The pencil, ballpoint pen, CRT, LCD, LED, photograph, photocopier, laser printer, ink jet printer and plasma display screen were also invented in the West.
Furthermore, ubiquitous materials including concrete, aluminum, clear glass, synthetic rubber, synthetic diamond and the plastics polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC and polystyrene were invented in the West. Iron and steel ships, bridges and skyscrapers first appeared in the West. Nitrogen fixation and petrochemicals were invented by Westerners. Most of the elements, as well as the current notion of elements themselves were created in the West.
The transistor, integrated circuit, memory chip, and computer were all first seen in the West. The ship’s chronometer, the screw propeller, the locomotive, bicycle, automobile, and aeroplane were all invented in the West. Eyeglasses, the telescope, the microscope and electron microscope, all the varieties of chromatography, protein and DNA sequencing, computerised tomography, NMR, x-rays, and light, ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy, were all first developed and applied in Western laboratories, hospitals and factories.
In medicine, vaccination, anesthesia, MRI, hormonal contraception, and all the pure antibiotics were created in the West. The method of preventing Rh disease, the treatment of diabetes, and the germ theory of disease were discovered by Westerners. The eradication of that ancient scourge, smallpox, was led by a Westerner, Donald Henderson. Radiography, Computed tomography, Positron emission tomography and Medical ultrasonography are important diagnostic tools developed in the West. So were the stethoscope, electrocardiograph, and the endoscope. Vitamins, hormonal contraception, hormones, insulin, Beta blockers and ACE inhibitors, along with a host of other medically proven drugs were first utilised to treat disease in the West. The double-blind study and evidence-based medicine are critical scientific techniques widely used in the West for medical purposes.
In mathematics, calculus, statistics, logic, vector, tensor and complex analysis, group theory and topology were developed by Westerners. In biology, evolution, chromosomes, DNA, genetics and the methods of molecular biology are creatures of the West. In physics, the science of mechanics and quantum mechanics, relativity, thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics were all discovered by Westerners. The atom, nucleus, electron, neutron and proton were all unveiled by Westerners.
Westerners are also known for their explorations and adventures of the globe and space. The first expedition to circumnavigate the Earth was by Westerners, as well as the first to set foot on the Poles, the first human in space and the first human to orbit the Earth and the first to land on the moon. The landing of robots on Mars and on an asteroid, and the Voyager explorations of the outer planets were all achievements of Westerners.
(REF: Western Scientific Achievements)
The Arabs produce: Oil (with tons of technical help from the West), hate, oppression, and terrorism. Oh and lets see what Wikipedia has to say on Arab scientific Achievements… oh. Nothing.
Hmmm… Well maybe it won’t work out just exactly the way they plan.
The Iranian Nuclear Program
This just in: Decision time for US over Iran threat
Iran has installed 3,000 centrifuges for enriching uranium - enough to begin industrial-scale production of nuclear fuel and build a warhead within a year, the UN’s nuclear watchdog reported last night. The report by Mohamed ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), will intensify US and European pressure for tighter sanctions and increase speculation of a potential military conflict. The installation of 3,000 fully-functioning centrifuges at Iran’s enrichment plant at Natanz is a “red line” drawn by the US across which Washington had said it would not let Iran pass. When spinning at full speed they are capable of producing sufficient weapons-grade uranium (enriched to over 90% purity) for a nuclear weapon within a year.

When Iran has a nuclear capability with which they can blackmail the world we will then still have to listen to the Liberals denouncing it all as George Bush’s fault. Their three minutes of hate will never be satiated, will it?
When Orcs of the Eye …

Hamas, Fatah Supporters Clash in Gaza
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Hamas security forces on Monday opened fire at a mass rally commemorating the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, violently dispersing the largest public display of support for the rival Fatah movement since Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip in June. Five people were killed and at least 31 were wounded, medical officials and Fatah said. Three of the wounded were critically injured, including a Hamas policeman who was shot in the head.
When it comes to public displays of hatred and brutality, nothing beats Hamas. But I’d like to take a moment to point out the misleading title of the article. It implies that they ran into an armed clash. The title, in fact, should read: “Hamas Kills 5 Defenseless Fatah Supporters at Rally”. That would be more accurate and present us with the stark reality. But no. Now of course Hamas claims that protesters threw some rocks at them, which forced them to open fire. They also claim that one of their police men was wounded seriously in the head by a Fatah gunman. But Fatah claims that their dead man was killed by a Hamas militant racing down a street in a car. Reality is that both groups lie incessently, so who knows what the devil happenned there. However, based on the article you’d think the Headline would have read something a little less neutral than “supporters clash”. Why? Because this wasn’t a mere clash. It was open fire on a protest. That’s not a clash. A clash is where two small armed groups have a minor battle on a street, usually without guns. That’s a clash. This is not a clash - its an outrageous assault on unarmed protestors.
The Media doesn’t want to do anything like that at all, because that might tarnish their previous sacred cow - that Israel is the Evil thing, and Hamas and Fatah are just misunderstood and oppressed ethnic minorities who should be coddled (and armed to the teeth).
Another way to look at this would be to ask, what would the media have reported had this happenned in New York City, where the protesters were Muslim Fundamentalists, and it was the NYPD that killed five of them. Imagine the headlines for that. Now compare.
Should we hold our breath waiting for the Liberal Mass Media to show any hint of shock or dismay? Not unless you want to turn blue in the face. No, no, no, that language is reserved for America and Israel only. Who cares that the sinister and violent Hamas turns its guns on fellow Palestinians. Big deal. That’s nothing. But let Israel or America try to defend themselves and THAT’s repudiated as Terrorism and Tyranny. Why is this?

News Flash: Markets fear banks have $1 trillion in toxic debt
A new phase in the credit crunch, one of “$1 trillion losses” seems to be dawning. The crisis at Citigroup and renewed doubts about some of the world’s leading banks disquieted stock markets on both sides of the Atlantic yesterday, with the fractious mood set to continue.
This flash from the past from Wikipedia might give us some clue as to the nature of the Great Depression:

Macroeconomists such as Ben Bernanke have revived the debt-deflation view of the Great Depression originated by Arthur Cecil Pigou and Irving Fisher. In the 1920s, widespread use of the home mortgage and credit purchases of automobiles and furniture in the U.S. boosted spending, but created consumer debt. People who were deeply in debt when a price deflation occurred were in serious trouble — even if they kept their jobs — and risked default. They drastically cut current spending to keep payments on time, thus lowering demand for new products. Furthermore, the debts grew when prices and incomes fell 20-50%, but the debts remained at the same dollar amount. With future profits looking poor, capital investment slowed drastically. In the face of bad loans and worsening future prospects, banks became more conservative in lending money. They built up their capital reserves, which intensified the deflationary pressures. The vicious cycle developed, and the downward spiral accelerated. This kind of self-aggravating process may have turned a 1930 recession into a 1933 depression.
Anyone see any similarities, maybe? 1 Trillion Dollars of “Toxic Debt”, eh? Hmmm… and I think this bodes ill for the world. The phrase “Impending Doom” comes to mind. Ah well, perhaps I’m all wrong about this, and it will all just magically blow over. Think I’ll have another drink, though, just in case.
Hussein’s Pledge
Checky over at PJCountry has posted a great picture that I am posting here. This is during the Pledge of Allegience. Take a look at Hussein standing there in the front. Perhaps he is saying the pledge, in his mind, and his hand is over what he is pledging.
This is the man who wants to lead Americans. What message is he trying to send? Do your own thing? Don’t pledge anything (except a vote perhaps)? Or is it just a personal thing? We all have the right to our personal convictions and beliefs. But we’re not all running for the office of President…
